The Song-Beings
If you have seen
A mother singing a lullaby, or
Ever attended
An Indian Marriage.
If you are not, the
Unlucky one, who
Hadn't listened to the workers
In the fields, or
Kids playing while singing
The no-nonsense songs.
Before the birth
Till the funeral and afterwards, and
Every breath in-between,
Neither poetry nor art,
It's just a way of life ....
We sing - The Song of Life,
We
The Children of East -
The Song-Beings.
